GASKETS AND O-RINGSin PTFE or elastomers | FEP/PFA ENCAPSULATED O-RINGSFLUORCAP™
FEP/PFA Encapsulated O-Ring FluorCap
FluorCap O-Ring Encapsulated in FEP/PFA by FluorTecno
FluorTecno produces its own line of encapsulated O-Rings FluorCap TM, characterized by high quality materials and long life. These O-Rings are produced in accordance with AS/BS standards and on customer request, using an innovative vulcanization technology that supports diameters from 1.78 mm up to 31.5 mm without dimensional limits.
Benefits of FluorCap™
FEP/PFA encapsulated O-Rings combine the elasticity of an elastomeric inner core, such as black Viton®, White Silicone FDA or EPDM, with a rigid outer shell made of FEP/PFA that offers total chemical resistance. This configuration allows them to operate in extreme conditions, with temperatures from -80°C to +230°C, effectively resisting aggressive chemicals such as fuels, solvents, acids and steam.
The main properties of FluorCap O-rings include:

The main properties of FluorCap O-rings include:
- Total chemical resistance to strong acids, bases, solvents and oxidants.
- Capable of operating up to 100 MPa pressure.
- Wide operating temperature range from -80°C to +230°C.
- Low friction coefficients (0.1 - 0.2) and high gas resistance.
- Elastic return greater than 90% after compression.
- FDA and UE10/2011 approvals for food and pharmaceutical applications, ensuring product safety and chemical inertia.
